Image of Bourns CRK Series Metal Strip Current-Sense ResistorsBourns expands its CRK series of surface-mount products. These metal strip current-sense resistors feature a robust metal strip resistive element which provides a temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) as low as 50 ppm/°C and a broad operating temperature range up to +170°C. This series is available in 0612 (1632 metric) and 0815 (2038 metric) sizes with a power rating of 1 W. With the addition of the 1225 (3265 metric) size it has allowed higher power rating up to 3 W.

The wide terminal shape of the CRK series helps to provide improved heat dissipation and higher reliability due to larger terminations and solder-joint surfaces. The metal resistive element of these current-sense resistors results in ultra-low inductance, low noise, and excellent reliability. Available with low resistance values (down to 1 mΩ and up to 40 mΩ), the CRK series is ideal for current sensing in consumer and telecommunication electronics and industrial automation applications.
