The board integrates seven independent submodules, each implementing a different switching regulator configuration, allowing direct measurement and comparison of efficiency, ripple, and transient behavior. The platform supports both buck and boost converters, including LED driver evaluation, with accessible test points for current, voltage, and waveform probing. Its modular format allows rapid review of converter characteristics without assembling multiple prototypes, making it suitable for power stage selection and early design analysis.

The board uses several passive and interconnect families from Würth Elektronik to ensure stable switching behavior and reliable lab-bench connections. These include WE-MAPI molded inductors, WR-TBL terminal blocks, MLCC capacitors, and WRIS/RSKS thick-film resistors.

  • BBS3 - MCP16411 boost regulator: low-IQ boost converter with regulated 3.3 V output capability
  • BBS4 - MCP1663 boost regulator (12 V): PWM boost converter configured for a stable 12 V output
