dsPIC33 E-Mobility Innovations
Microchip’s digital signal controller (DSC) enabling automotive and e-mobility designs
Microchip’s dsPIC33 DSC family offers a flexible and robust solution for e-mobility vehicles, ranging from e-bikes and scooters to electric cars and trucks. The digital signal controllers are designed for extreme operating conditions, providing real-time response, high performance, and high reliability. The dsPIC33 is often found transmitting power wirelessly, charging batteries, converting power rails, and driving the motors in pumps, fans, or powered windows. These products are supported by a range of hardware features and a full ecosystem of collateral and software comprising FMEDA, safety manual, and diagnostic software to enable ISO-26262 functional safety compliance.
dsPIC33 DSCs are designed for robust and reliable automotive applications. They provide reliable communications with CAN-FD, CAN, and LIN interfaces. They meet AEC-Q100 Grade 0 qualification and are designed to run up to +150°C for operation in extreme under-hood environments. Microchip’s development tools, reference designs, and application notes can be used to jump-start users’ designs for power conversion, wireless charging, and motor control applications.
