PISA-M Series 4-Channel 12 V or 24 V Electronic Circuit Protection Modules

PULS PISA-M 4-channel electronic circuit breakers have a space-saving footprint. PISA-M DIN rail mountable 4-channel protection modules with integrated electronic fuses are ideal for 12 V or 24 V systems. They distribute the current of a power supply to four output channels, each of lower current. If an overload or short condition occurs on one or more channels, the channel is tripped to protect and maintain the other loads, as well as the primary 24 V_DC power supply from overloading. One of the standout features of the PISA-M units is their extremely compact design: only 22.5 mm wide (22.5 mm x 104 mm x 98 mm). This ultra-slim profile allows it to fit easily into densely packed control cabinets, freeing up valuable space for other critical system components.

The PISA-M is packed with various helpful features. The push-in connectors on the module’s front panel enable quick, toolless installation. Multi-color LEDs show the status of each output channel in real time. Each channel is equipped with a button that can be used to switch the outputs on and off and reset them.

PULS offers several versions of PISA-M. The 4ADJ modules are adjustable, meaning each output channel can be set to the required current value. If users need a plug-and-play device with fixed currents, PULS offers PISA-M versions with fixed output current settings (e.g., 2 A, 4 A, 6 A, or 8 A). PISA-M NEC Class 2 devices allow a single 12 V or 24 V power supply to split its load into four protected Class 2 circuits. As a result, users can meet compliance requirements with fewer power supplies, less wiring, and lower overall system costs. For installations needing more than four Class 2 circuits, multiple PISA-M modules can be connected, offering modular scalability without sacrificing safety or cabinet space. Depending on application requirements, customers can choose from two NEC Class 2 compliant variants, the PISA-M-4CL2 and the PISA-M-402. Both models are designed to be easily integrated into either 12 V or 24 V systems without manual configuration, thanks to automatic voltage detection.

The PISA-M-4CL2 adjusts tripping currents automatically, depending on the system voltage. It delivers up to 3.75 A per channel at 24 V (max. 92 W) and 4.85 A per channel at 12 V (max. 60 W). Regardless of voltage, the output remains within the Class 2 safety limits, ensuring reliable protection without user intervention.

The PISA-M-402 provides a fixed low output current of 2 A per channel at 24 V (max. 48 W) or 12 V (max. 24 W). Designed for sensitive applications, it is ideal for protecting delicate components like sensors and other low-current devices that require consistent, tightly controlled power.

By consolidating multiple circuits into a single unit, the PISA-M series reduces both hardware costs and the complexity of meeting regulatory requirements.
