This tutorial will discuss the new features and benefits of MSP430FR57xx family of devices as well as FRAM non-volatile memory in general. First, the module will go over what FRAM is and what some of its differentiating features are. It will then talk about the enhancements in the core and peripherals on this first family of MSP430 FRAM microcontrollers. Finally, some practical issues for using the FRAM, as well as reliability, retention and how to get started, will be discussed.
