TLV751/52 Adjustable, Dual-Channel LDO Voltage Regulators

Texas Instruments’ TLV751 and TLV752 are dual, adjustable, 500 mA and 1 A low-dropout (LDO) regulators that are available in a small 10-pin, 2 mm × 2 mm WSON package. The devices consume 25 µA quiescent current while providing fast-line and load-transient response. These regulators feature a low dropout of 130 mV (TLV751) and 225 mV (TLV752) that can improve the overall power efficiency.

The TLV751 and TLV752 offer wide input-and-output voltage ranges that can support a wide variety of applications from sensor supplies to auxiliary rails, and modem microcontrollers (MCUs) with lower core voltages when they are combined with the output current capability in a small printed circuit board (PCB) footprint.

The TLV751/52 are stable with small ceramic output capacitors allowing for a small overall solution size. A precision band-gap and error amplifier provide a high accuracy of 1.5% (max) over temperature. These devices include integrated thermal shutdown, current limit, active output-discharge, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) features. The LDOs feature an internal fold-back current-limit to reduce thermal dissipation during short-circuit events.
